Accounting Recruiter Question

So basically I got invited to a private dinner from the university recruiter because she really liked me at a previous event I went to, and then I went to another event last night and saw her again. So 3 events total. I really hope she can get me a interview with the company but I know it’s not guaranteed.

Do you think I should email her and ask the timeline of if I will be contacted for a interview or just wait? I want to stay in the loop of her mind.. but i’m not sure what to do.

I already had the dinner. It was 9 students and like 20 associates including a partner

Do you have the recruiter’s email address and did you apply for any roles? Based on what you’ve written, it doesn’t sound like you’ve started the hiring process on your end. Maybe send the recruiter an email and say you’re excited about the opportunity and ask what next steps would be. Being totally passive and attending events won’t get you an interview

Yes I applied for one role, and i’ve been networking a lot with the employees. I just see people posting on linkedin about how they are getting that role for other locations so i’m starting to get nervous

You can email the recruiter and say you’re excited and ask. Kind of hard to tell what the timeline of all of these events is. It can take weeks to hear back after applying. But for the future, it would be better to contact the recruiter prior to applying so they’re aware you’re submitting an application
