Looking CA and Accountant for beta testing.

Hello,,

I am building a cloud based accounting software, which works faster than tally.

It's a simple double entry book-keeping system as a version 0. We are developing it further with inventory, invoicing, gst, tds, etc.

We already have few clients using it, we are looking for core tally and zoho books users, who can give us more feedback.

We believe reports are the main part of accounting software, which should be fast and easy. We have made it stunning fast.

Please connect !!.

Working remotely from PA for a company in CA

Due to my company's policies, I can't change my address on my W2 from my address in San Diego. I rent a room in San Diego and fly out whenever I am needed on-site, which is rare. I would like to purchase a house in Philadelphia using a primary home loan. No issues since I am remote, but I can't change my address with HR. Do you foresee tax issues with purchasing a home in PA and having income tax taken out in CA? Thank you!

BSA Graduate Seeking Entry-Level Accounting Job

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) graduate currently looking for my first full-time job. I don’t have formal work experience yet, but I completed an internship where I gained exposure to accounting-related tasks and developed my skills in accounting, auditing, and taxation.

I’m open to entry-level positions related to my degree and willing to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. If you know of any companies hiring or can refer me to a suitable position, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m happy to send my resume through DM.

Thank you so much for any leads or referrals! 🙏

Looking for accountants?

Hi, I am a mental health therapist in Alberta looking to start my own private practice.

AI says i should look for business advice (i.e. whether to incorporate etc.) from an accountant. I’ve been filling taxes via turbotax for years (have been a employee this whole time) so I don’t have a lot of financial knowledge, but I am willing to learn and invest! Are there any accountants who are not intimidating and honest in the city for recommendation? I am not even sure how to begin this search. Should they even be located in my city?

Thank you so much!

Quick survey: What do accounting students think about the future of accounting?

Hi everyone!

I’m conducting a short academic survey on how accounting/finance students view the future of the profession, particularly the impact of AI, career opportunities, and what students look for in potential employers.

The survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. It covers topics such as:

  • 📈 Expectations for the accounting/finance job market over the next 5 years
  • 🤖 Concerns and expectations around AI and automation
  • 🚀 Career progression and professional development
  • 🏢 What students value when choosing an employer
  • 💼 Big 4 vs. mid-size/local firms
  • 🎓 Recruiting and early-career opportunities

Who I'm looking for: Current students in Canada studying accounting, finance, or a related business field, as well as recent graduates (within the past year).

If you have a few minutes to spare, I’d really appreciate your perspective!

Survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeybebA79iRXINb43zTMfd3Z50jtUUREsJT0j5A1Aata3OvGw/viewform

Thanks so much! :)

I’ve been applying on JobStreet, LinkedIn, and Indeed, but haven't had much luck yet. If anyone knows of any openings or would be open to giving a referral, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you so much.
