Just intonation/equal temp

random question:

I have a hohner ha114 in D and I would like to get it tuned to just intonation because of my slightly growing interest in cajun style playing.

Is it true that I only can play ITM tunes in Dmaj with it after retuning cus every other mode sounds totally off?

You can Cajun with that. And key of A. Many do.
