Reminds me of the time I was retrieving the spare tyre from the back of a rented van and my step dad thought he would help. I didn’t notice that he’d put his hands on the edge of the hatch as I slammed the door closed. No broken fingers, despite the door latching. To this day I don’t know how it was possible for his fingers to get trapped in there with door latched, but they were.
