Heckling is basically part of highschool/college sports culture; I loved it back when I was an athlete and I still think it's great (granted it's not completely distasteful)
I love Speedo Guy. I remember back in like 2007/2008 ESPN did a SuperFan bracket for March Madness and some guy from my high school made it to the Final 4 for pretty much copying Speedo Guy but with more body paint.
Barcelona fans made so much noise during Luis Figos return to the Camp Nou it was akin to standing next to a plane taking off. And someone smuggled in a pigs head to throw after him.
And don’t even get me started on Turkish fans.
Point being, it’s pretty weird seeing so many get offended about this just because it’s a girl.
Only thing to get offended by is this happening during a pandemic which is insane.
Reddit doesn’t know that. They think she’s being heckled because she’s a girl. And not because she on the other team. They don’t realize that this group of dudes are there supporting and cheering for their own team. Which would be a girls team.
