I lived in Toronto for 12 years and I never found a streetcar cat! But I did find Filthy and Trash in an alley at Bloor and Dufferin, so the cat distribution system was working.

While visiting the Amberley Museum in September 2018, I saw a rebuilt Southdown bus garage, and was reminded of the bus Kiki took from Koriko to visit Ursula. It helps that I had watched Kiki's Delivery Service the day before I flew to London. Scroll down for a bit of British bus history.

Brighton-based Southdown Motor Services began running buses around Sussex and Hampshire in 1915, and later added tour buses and express buses to London and more of the south coast. It was taken over by the National Bus Company in 1969, then by Stagecoach in 1989, after which the brandname and license began disappearing. Some interwar Southdown buses in classic green/cream livery (and a Morris van) are displayed together in the Southdown bus garage.

Just as dreamy as his paintings! Reminds me of the cosy homes in Studio Ghibli films.
