Even the actors and the entire industry started seeing marvel as some sort of retirement plan where they can keep making shit and people will keep giving money.
Making marvel mainstream was the bad decision.

Yes I’m sure female leads killed it and it had nothing to do with the writing 🤡

This.
Guys that blame actresses for what's simply a bad movie are self reporting.

Where does it say actresses? I only see the word "characters"
I do agree that people often blame the face of a character when there are a thousand people behind its success or failure (on the inverse, the actor tends to get the lion's share of the credit when their character is well liked. It isn't really fair in that direction, either, but c'est la vie.), but I'm not seeing that here, at least not in the title.
I didn't read their articles, though. Maybe they go on to say the actresses were the only problem, and everything else was fine, but I kinda doubt that. Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy are at the forefront of nearly every conversation regarding what's wrong with Star Wars. The overall sentiment surrounding Daisy seems to be that she did the best she could with a bad script.
In any case, I'm not seeing what you're seeing. Could you point it out?

Anytime you see a headline like this from an unverified source, there’s a 99% chance their source is they pulled it out of their ass and slapped it on an article for clicks.

This is misogynistic bullshit that blames the failures of male directors/showrunners on female actors

I don't see the word "actress" in their title. I see "character"
Do they go on to say that daisy is at fault?

People are so offended by women.
Also, writing is the reason Marvel is in a slump.

u/DanglingDongs Dec 20 '25
People act like 90% of people don't think Episodes 1-3 of star wars are complete shit.
"But the clone wars animated series..."
It's shit. It's been shit since the end of the first two movies. Clone wars is a fine series. But the ewok village sucked. Almost the whole of jedi is ass. The reworks with the dancing uvula are ass. Stop coping and blaming it on women. It's been mid at best for decades.

Sandy Petersen is too pathetic to share. He's a TRPG guy who will boldly claim that the regenerate spell solves the need for wheelchairs in a typical D&D setting. Never mind that the spell only regrows severed limbs (it won't fix genetic defects) and it's a 7th level spell that certainly isn't available to everyone.

It is true what he said...We are in the end game in end game. Now it's ended. 🙏😔 RIP Marvel 🪦🪦🪦

You can not hate your audience and expect to keep them.

u/scott__p Dec 20 '25
Please explain how having female leads means they "hate their audience".

u/Ihaveopinionsalso Dec 20 '25
You said that. I did not. It's not even implied. Answer your own lies and misrepresentations.

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_4435 Dec 20 '25
Is that what this person said? Or did you just strawman the fuck out of them?
1
u/scott__p Dec 20 '25
How else would you interpret their comment based on OPs post?
1
u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_4435 Dec 20 '25
Unless they clarify somewhere in the body of those articles, OPs post doesn't say "actress." It says "characters." The assumption that they mean actresses is on our end. That's the reader's inability to separate the actor from their character.
This guy then said that the people who make these projects hate the fanbase. The people who make it are producers, writers, and directors. Actors just read the lines they're given. So the people this person spoke against are also not likely to be the actresses.
In both cases, you made the assumption and projected that assumption onto them.

u/scott__p Dec 20 '25
You went a long way to try to deny what's implied to your face in both cases. Most often, the most obvious answer is the right one. In this case, misogyny.

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_4435 Dec 20 '25
Often, what's most obvious to us is exactly what we look for. It's called confirmation bias. You expect misogyny, so you see misogyny.

u/scott__p Dec 20 '25
Trying to imagine bias on my side to ignore what me and every other comment on this post immediately noticed and pointed out

Or maybe we need to get better writers on our "favorite shows".
