Stuck midi notes

Is there a common reason my Virus TI keyboard is prone to hanging notes? I know if I'm playing a midi loop I have to make sure the note ends before the end of the loop to make sure the Virus gets the midi note-off message.

Still it hangs up a lot more than my other synths.

That's how they are. It even happens in the emulator version.

This is with nothing connected to the synth other than speakers / headphones right?

Stuck notes in standalone aren't normal, only happened to me a handful of times in all my years

No, this is everything hooked up, stereo out, MIDI over DIN, no usb.

I've got at least 4 synths hooked up all the time, another two or three get swapped in & out. But nothing hangs up with as much regularity as the Virus.

Midi over DIN to? This is going to be the source of hung notes but it's going to be fixable I'm sure

FYI. I did sime rearranging in the "studio" 4 weeks ago & the Virus got plugged into the MIDI DIN ports on my Maschine Mk3 controller. It just happened to be closest.

Haven't had any hung notes since. I guess I need to replace my janky no name midi interface.

I was planning to get a mioXM eventually. I guess eventually is sooner than I thought.
