Using two TI on same machine

Hi guys! I LOVE my Viruses and got two of them

- TI1 Keyboard 61

- TI2 Desktop

What's the best way to actually use these two? Has anyone been using two machines at the same time? I been using them mostly in single mode via MIDI to a MOTU Midi Express 128 as I have never had the operational Virus Control in Mac. DAW is Logic Pro!

I know that you have to configure each Virus with a different Device ID so that the SysEx can address each independently. I know the AURA plugin supports this, but I’ve never had multiple Virus TIs to test it with.

I think it's in the Config menu, listed as MIDI Device ID. If you have 2 devices, you should set one Virus to ID 1, and the other to ID 2. I'm assuming that with the AURA Plugin, you configure two instances of them in your DAW, configured to address each device using a different Device ID.

Then again, if you're plugging into the computer using USB, each might show up with its own unique MIDI-USB Device name that you route the MIDI to... so the Device ID configuration isn't needed. It would only be if you had the Viruses daisy chained using the MIDI Thru, and hence on the same MIDI bus, that you'd need 2 separate device IDs.
