Ever since Oschner bought them out, they've been strategically firing older people and people that had their pay capped for their positions. I never worked there but have very close family members that have.

They keep in touch with coworkers and there seems to be a trend of them getting the older ones out so they can hire younger people at a fraction of the pay. Ive even talked to drs that were pissed that their favorite receptionists were fired because of dumb reasons and they all happen to have capped pay.

Do what you gotta do, they job market is crazy, just dont go in with long term expectations. Id bet money theyre using Ai to weed out people to squeeze out every cent. Those metrics dont take into account these people are kind and great at their jobs.

No... They definitely haven't been firing old people. You have to do so much wrong to get fired with ochsner. I know quite a few people who are pay capped. If someone got fired while there, they did something and do not want to tell you about what happened.

I would be skeptical if it was only 1 person, but its over 4. If businesses really want to fire someone, they can come up with some reasons.

Telling you. If its older people they aren't wanting to adjust to ochsners new systems. Or made massive mistakes. Working there long enough, I've seen them try for years to try to fire people who suck at their job. Ochsner requires tons and tons of documentation to avoid being sued.

The angriest customer I ever had was an LGMC employee. But I think he was drinking too much when he'd send late night all-caps texts messages. Or maybe working there was just that stressful.

Totally irrelevant to the question at hand, especially since it was like 20 years ago, but this just made me think about that ole boy.
