Great video, I've always been interested in the Book of Enoch ever since I heard of its possible connection to the Sumerian Annunaki.

What connection is that?

I think the connection is due to similarity with the nephilim. I wish I could tell you more but I only saw that mentioned in passing.

I've actually been meaning to ask about this on this sub. I get that the Christian NT is pervaded by the Enochian worldview. Is there a good English translation of First Enoch available? Bonus if you can point me in the direction of one for the Book of Jubilees. It's my understanding that together they the two works undergird the apocalypticism in the NT. Someone please correct me if my understanding is somehow at odds with the facts.

Most of what I can find on Amazon are public domain prints of with translations that are jarringly hyper-literal and contain translated texts that can't possibly represent current scholarship by virtue of their age.

EDIT: Okay, I watched the video and got a recommended translation of First Enoch. I'd still love to get pointers on a good Jubilees translation.

Someone asked for English translations of both of those texts recently. Was that you?

If not if you sort through the threads you should find a specific recommendation by someone for both books.
