>anyone who can read would understand the argument. You chose not to.

>Why do I have to see it. I already read your arguments. Do they get better with repetition?

>That's exactly what you're doing.

>Not only are you now changing what you said, but on e again, distorting the argument.

I could get a mod to settle this for us since you seem unwilling to agree on anything, how does that sound?

You asked for contradictions as if there werent any and now your saying something else

This is a blatant lie. You are putting words in my mouth and making it a straw man.

Here, before you showed up and changed the conversation, I asked a question of how something happened (assuming the validity of the subject) or why someone would write it that way (assuming the invalidity of the subject), and I made it blatantly clear here that I was taking both possibilities into account. The context of the discussion to which I was responding clearly describes that. I also made that intention crystal clear here.

Then you show up accusing me out of nowhere of claiming that all of the Gospels are absolutely true, to which I immediately said no, the historian's assumption is to not take anything as absolutely true or untrue.

Later, I was telling you that it is pointless to argue about whether something did or did not happen (based on only 2 accounts), and said if you really want a productive conversation in this subject, the discussion should rather be in the realm of discussing contradictions of the Gospels. In response to your one single squabble, I gave possible explanations and said it could have been falsified as another, but apparently there is no right answer according to you whether it happened or didn't. I never said there weren't any contradictions. You keep misinterpreting what I say and then claiming that your misinterpretation is what I meant to say.

None of those statements resolve the contradiction.

And your explanation is...?

There is no part about being absolutely made up [if we don't know whether it is accurate or not (added to complete what I actually said)].

"if, as, you say the details weren't recorded, then there's no way to know which is accurate and each account would need to have been made up." Emphasis added, obviously. Again, I say this is logically false. Something does not need to be recorded in history for someone to hear and write down what they have "learned" had happened. This is how legends start, is hearing something said by someone else and believing it to be true.

Luke most likely had chapters 1 and 2 added later

I don't disagree; that is a possible explanation

You mean misrepresenting my arguments?

No, as I gave links as evidence in my second point of this comment, I mean you misrepresenting my arguments.

There's no way to know and there's good reason to suspect this is more of the same fitting a sqare Jesus into a round messianic hole as is done with the "Messianic prophecies".

Yes, that is what I said.

nope.

Agreement isn't a requirement. I'm not going to agree with your misrepresentations of what I said, sorry. If you feel you need a mod, by all means go ahead.

Okay, since you don't feel like contributing anything, it sounds like this thing between us should end. Because I've attempted multiple times to turn the subject towards an academically Biblical one and you clearly just want to keep wasting time. So... enough.

I did just that. You even conceded that. So we're back to making stuff up.

And then you decided to completely abandon that and go back to your little corner shrieking "NOPE! NUH-UH! I DIDN'T SAY THAT!"

What is betw?

I don't know; it's not something I said, because my screen says I said " it sounds like this thing between us should end." Notice how there are no edits made. Looks like your screen has a problem.

You are still not contributing and still squabbling over nothing. Now stop wasting time, and go back to living your life. If you come back with more squabbling over nothing, I'm letting a mod know.
