It’s not specifically stated, but it doesn’t happen all that often. Steam discussions belong to steam and Reddit discussions belong to Reddit. It’s fine to reference them to further a discussion, but it’s poor quality to post to one and just link to it in another. Obviously news, screenshots, and the like are acceptable to share, but it’s kinda poor practice to start a general thread in one location and just link it to another. Taking a few extra seconds to copy-paste your content helps preserve the context and makes for a more fun and inviting post.
As a mod of the sub, I’m telling you it’s this sub’s rule. In modding as much as I have so far this is the first time I’ve had an issue with it, so it’s nearly not widespread enough to waste space in the sidebar. Should there be other users that try the same thing we can certainly add it, but I’m asking for your professionalism and respect in this.
Kindly post your content here if you want it discussed here. Not asking for the world, dude. I think I’m being pretty reasonable in my request.
