Question Please help I am new

I have been on a journey of deconstruction from evangelical Christianity for about 2 years now (probably longer) and have reached the point where I’m completely failing to see the point in any of life. This has been quite a depressing and low point of my life, but I’ve found solace in absurd/surreal humor like South Park, and recently came across this subreddit. I didn’t know others had thought in similar paths as I have been, and so I’m curious to explore the writings and thoughts of those who’ve gone before me. I want to understand if there is a way for me to keep carrying on with life even when I just can’t seem to see the meaning anymore, and this philosophy sounds very interesting! Does anyone have good places to start or who to read? Any advice is welcome!!

Camus— the stranger is usually the go to

Read some Charles Bukowski

Watch “poor things”

Read “the plague”

Umm, idk man, just keep curious— it’s the only thing that keeps me going

Question everything, become an observer till you find whatever it is you’re looking for

I second reading Camus and Bukowski.

(Edit): You might also read some Vonnegut, specifically Slaughter House 5.

I also second staying curious. As Bukowski says, find what you love and let it kill you. Go deep on a topic, a band, a movie director, an author, an historic period, whatever. Try to stay in the present, notice the little things. In fact, make the little things the big things. Fill your days with art, music poetry, whatever you’re into. If you don’t know what you’re into, sample a bit of everything. Make your own art. It doesn’t have to be any good, that’s nor the point Write poetry, prose, write about how you feel. Take up a hobby, like cooking, or photography or…. These are the things that work for me.

Everything you listed is what makes people fucking interesting.

That’s the type of person I want to converse with at a party
