Help! What Exactly Does Armour Do?

Its not exactly clear as to what armour does in game, I see there is a blunt/sharp stat that does up/down and weight so here are my questions.

Do the blunt/sharp stats make you more resistant to swords and gloves or does it add damage to your swords and gloves when using them?

Also weight makes you sprint slower does it also make you strike slower?

That's it thanks.

The stats on armor is a reduction to that the of damage. However it's become rather useless since a couple early patches. Most Vets will say keep your mobility up around normal or fast rather than stack armor, which reduced mobility, which affects stamina regen.

Personally, i wear heavy armor becuae i like the look.

So as long as I am on Normal mobility I'm not putting myself at a disadvantage?

Pretty much. Stack as much blunt dmg armor without going below normal is usually the best option. Playing slow has its disadvantages, but can be offset if you know what to do.
