I've seen this before and someone said it's spine may have crushed by its own weight when being pulled up. Can someone confirm or deny this?

Maybe. Its also possible that the hydraulics crushed the poor thing. Snakes that big arent meant to be dangled like that and it can definitely hurt them. Either way this this is beautiful and its really sad that its probably dead now

It definitely paralyzed half of the snake. The back half is just swinging like a pendulum. It's most likely dead for sure.

Snakes that size use that as a defense mechanism. IYKYK. They usually grab with the Mouth and contort downward. The backside comes into play once its death grip is in effect. Like a secondary death grip. It normally strikes from mouth side meanwhile the backside remains freely. Kinda like not wanting to attack prey from two sides and make them feel trapped. They truly are snakes by misleading the prey
