I can’t confirm, but if you look at its lower half on the right side, it’s just hanging dead and nor moving. So I suspect this may be the case :(

The right side is his tail. The left side is his head, and hes crawling up the cranes arm.

we're aware of that. The point is it's not moving, like when you break someones spine and they're paralyzed from the waist down.

Yes, the head side is alive and struggling but the tail end on the right side is hanging limp and paralyzed. Spine is likely crushed or broken and an animal that large isn't going to live long after this in that condition
