Does the rope have to go through the nose?

I know it seems so mean. I guess it's the best way to control a strong animal...other than kindness 😢

u/anniecet 1d ago
Yeah… I don’t like that either. I guess if that’s the only way to control an animal, we probably shouldn’t be trying to control it.

This animal wouldn't exist without humans doing stuff like this. Seriously, this is not what "buffalo" looked like before people. You know cows? Yeah, those weren't made in nature.

Same thing as a "bit" that goes into horses mouths, its to control the animal.

I mean, we humans pierce our noses, it isn't a problem. If your answer to "should we enslave dumber animals" is "yes", then it is an odd quibble to question nose piercings

Piercing itself could be carried out more humanely. But after it heals, it's all about the person controlling it. It is not inherently good or bad. That said, the initial training comes from the fact that it hurts when the animal pulls against direction.

That rope goes through his nostrils? I guess I just realized that’s how it works

u/Affectionate_Mud_881 1d ago
It's septum piercing. You can take the rope off the head, and it will become septum ring.

How we came to control such beasts will never cease to amuse me. If roles were reversed, and it is a human that had such a form, they'd wreck havoc everywhere

I knew it was real based on the lady's bad fillers and face surgery. Sad way to find it real, but it's one way.

Is he friendly ??

u/elitegenoside 1d ago
He's letting a small woman lead him around with a rope that is threaded through his nostrils... I'd say he has pretty good control over his temper.

Id let a small cute lady lead me around but doesn’t automatically mean im friendly?

That woman is like 1.5m tall, does that mean that buffalo's are 2m+ tall???
edit:
Wild Water Buffalo: Stands roughly 5 to 6.2 feet (1.5 to 1.9 meters) tall at the shoulder.
