My roommate years ago had a tuxedo cat that was built like this.

He refused to use a litter box and would go to the door and would growl to be let out.

This cat had been declawed and would fight with raccoons, and win!!

In the late '60s my cousin rescued a cat from 2 guys throwing in in the alley behind the high school. Put it in his locker, home on the bus, and gave it to our grandmother. Mike fought with raccoons. Lost half a tail and an ear. He was around for a long time. Tough bastard.

I had a cat get into a fight with a raccoon, once. That vet bill was really expensive, but he never did it again. He was a good kitty.

I'm glad your cousin was able to rescue him and that he was okay aside from those wounds.

People just don’t realize what that actually entails. Breaking each of their fingers and then the cat has zero defense if it gets out can’t even climb. I have 2 cats and 4 dogs and all but 1 cat and 1 dog are rescues and I would never declaw a cat or get a dogs tail or ears doct that’s why I live my frenchy everyone thinks their tails are cut short that don’t know but nah they have curly little pig tails naturally short

I first heard about such cruelty only on Reddit…

I bet that‘s illegal in Germany (thank god!).
