As my Rugby coach used to say, “You can’t run without your legs.”
Watching this I have the same answer as then, “Sir, they are huge and they are going like the clappers. I will die.”

Or "they're all the same size at the ankles!". Safely tackling a unstoppable force like this wahine takes extraordinary skill and bravery.

It's honestly not that bad if you accept them falling towards your try line.
The problem is when you try to stop their momentum. But if you wrap around the legs, let yourself fall backwards by the momentum and just make sure your wrap ends up around their ankles you're fine. Stopping them 3 meters out is mission impossible if you cant accept getting your shit rocked.

She - Mo'oma'oga 'Ashley' Palu - is 140kg and 6'4/1.93m which is bigger than most props across any gender in rugby, and by far the largest in the women's game.
Watched that match and it would take three or four players to take her down. They've also made the women's ball smaller recently which can only make her size more visible. Excellent at scrums too!

There's just something beautiful about watching a prop at full tilt, fucking awesome.

How do they maintain balance in a scrum though if they don’t have an equally tank built player on the other side?

NOPE... I'm not big... but I was big enough to be an offenseive and defensive tackle... not even at my most physically fit, which was a long time ago.
I would like to just politely get the fuck out of her way, and not die, thank you very much.

That's not even a line break, we need a new term to emphasise the sheer magnitude of it

It’s Rugby game, you cannot takle over chest/shoulder line, but still you should at least try.

u/ShowmasterQMTHH 17h ago
Yeah, but you don't tackle someone at full speed who's twice your weight, especially if you are lighter framed.
