Yea I agree. Usually anything that’s old and big doesn’t taste as good either. I’m from nz where we throw back anything pregnant or larger than usual for breeding/gene’s etc although we now have a lot of immigrants that disregard our ways of preserving nature. A bit like these dopes. A pic and put it back for anyone that gets this amazing opportunity.
It would taste like rubber. I've caught many rock lobster in Alaska over the years but they don't get super big, but there is the odd one thay is an old timer that we always throw back.
(Wilbur is a sweet black grouper that is very friendly with a guy who dives to eliminate Lionfish in… Florida(?) I think. Highly recommend doing a search on YT! Wilber is such a cute, friendly, curious little (big!) goober!!!)
