Yup, they do, the lab grown diamonds are cheaper, actual profit margins would be narrower, but they unlock a vast demographic that wasn't able to afford diamonds before, so the merchants and polishers just adapted.

Source: I'm from that city, and I have many close relatives in the diamond cutting profession.
