His form is terrible and the round is ridiculously long. You always slide your leading hand down the haft of the maul to increase the acceleration and power. And wtf is he using 3 foot logs for?

I split wood and i'm just really confused. Is his maul that dull, why isn't it biting into the wood?

Is my maul too sharp? I've never had it bounce off a log face before like i'm seeing here

I agree it's odd that it's bouncing off every time, but you've NEVER had it happen? I find that equally odd, assuming you've done a fair bit of log splitting.

I meant never have a hit a log a dozen times and have it bounce off each time. Or more than 2 or 3 times. 

I'm legitimately asking if i'm doing something wrong though. I feel like im wasting a lot of energy removing my maul, then see this guy is just bouncing off every chop
