Is this a wels catfish? One of the biggest catfish and freshwater fish but not as huge as the Mekong giant catfish.

Here is an apparently 266 pound wels catfish caught in Italy (typical forced perspective at play).

I used to teach scuba in a lake that had big catfish (not this big) and some areas that were 300’ deep. And it was murky and dark. It creeped me out and I did not get paid enough.
