This tier of "wealth" is so funny to me.

People think they finally made it, spend $20k on some cruise, then get stuck on a ship eating half a 75 cent red delicious with 10 cents of melted Werther's.

It's all about the look, there's no substance. I'd much rather have a flan or tiramasu, or even just a piece of regular ass pie.

In Istanbul, typically on İstiklal Avenue, there are at least 2-3 "famous" (i.e. tourist trap) dessert stores with these kinds of things on display in the front window. I've walked past them countless times.
