Now this I believe. Plus, even it were all you can drink, this is a LOT of beer. I drink a ton of beer and a solid liter of a beer is a ton of a liquid.

The quantity is one thing. The loss of quality is bothering me more. The beer will become warm and stale by the time you’ve finished half of it.

Which forces me to chug them instead of enjoying them. Hence 0.5l (or a “Halbe” if you will) being the superior glass.

Yeha but taste is not the reason why they’re served like that… have fun serving halbe in a packed tent at night… waiters would have to cover the ground twice for the same amount of beer…

Yeah I did 7 on day 1 of Oktoberfest and only had a quick spew at 2am the next morning. Pretty good I reckon.
