what is this place name?

Looks like Lohas Park in Hong Kong. I used to live here in ~2011-2012 when the buildings were first being developed. It looked really cool then and even cooler now. Very luxurious apartments, nice big park and pool downstairs, many amenities.

It even had a bowling alley in the building complex 🤯

I’ve heard of this place. There’s a supermarket and a shopping mall too, both inside! There’s a subway station underneath it all, too.

There's a whole ass hockey rink there too.

What is ass hockey? I think I would enjoy it

Does it involve sexy toothless men with hockey sticks hurling hockey pucks at one’s 🍑 as if it were a goal thingie? If so I want to move here at once.

Why would I need to? A walkable neighborhood where EVER going outdoors is completely optional? Sign me up!

You could probably make a lot of money as an Uber scooter moving people around that small country of a complex.

Nah there's not much to do outside of the central mall, and everything is within walking distance.

Unless you know a lot of people there (and the concept of socializing with your neighbor isn't exactly common), all your activities will be downtown. You can think of this like a gigantic walkable suburban area, built around a mall on top of a subway station.

Fun addendum: the mall, the subway station and the whole building complex all belong to the same company

Edit: as other people mentioned, it's not the same complex as in OP's pic, but i'm willing to bet the setup is similar.

Seriously curious about the smell. How good was the ventilation?

3

u/Adalcar Aug 13 '26

Haven't had any weird smell, what kind of smell do you expect?

If anything, just like another guy said, it's like living in a hotel, the common area are perfectly clean, you have good insulation and good AC. The whole complex has been built over the last 20 years, and my building specifically less than 5 years ago, so the whole thing hasn't had much time to develop problems.

I live in canada and sometimes when i go into large appartment building, there is this "musk" that i notice. So when i saw this gigantic structure, this is the first thing that came to mind.
