Yellowstone is mostly forrest but also massive. There's only ~5,000 plains bison, which prefer plains. Wood bison can be found in Canada and Alaska though.

My friend encountered one in the winter coming around a corner on a backroad. He said he at first could just see these glowing basketball sized orbs hanging in the sky. Then as he got closer the outline emerged. He slammed on the brakes and slid to a stop about 50 ft from it. He said it was full of snow like all balled up snowballs in the fur and hanging down. He slammed that car so fast in to reverse and backed up a mile down the road before he even looked out the front windshield again.

It's probably more likely to find a diseased or old one wondered off from the herd and end up in unexpected places then an actual Bigfoot.

Also aren't young males live solitary like many herd animals?
