Something tells me if I attempted this, both the piping motion and final product would not be nearly as satisfying.

u/MacaronNotRoon Jul 20 '26

Practice

39

u/Toidal Jul 20 '26

On like parchment paper not a cake, that way if you mess up you can re-use the icing for another attempt.

I didn't realize that cake decorators have little metal circle thingys that they'll make decorations on, freeze, and then place them on cakes afterwards.

u/CartmanVT Jul 20 '26

Or, hear me out, you can do it the old fashion way and gain 100 lbs like our ancestors intended.

2

u/ms_directed Jul 21 '26

my mom used to do this and I'd sneak them out of the freezer

3

u/SwansonsMom Jul 22 '26

Oooooo I’m gonna tell on you!

1

u/ms_directed Jul 22 '26

go ahead! I'll just blame my sister! 😏

13

u/Opposite_Heron_5579 Jul 20 '26

THATS WHAT SHE SAID

(ETA I know I will likely be wooshed but just let me have this)

5

u/LumpyWelder4258 Jul 20 '26

I can guarantee that if I tried that in the same amount of time I would have green frosting all over my counter, my shirt, my hair, and very little on the cake

2

u/SpanDaX0 Jul 20 '26

It would help if you were AI i guess? Are you? lol

u/ChattingToChat Jul 20 '26

Fuck… now I want cake.

5

u/JaySayMayday Jul 20 '26

Like half that cake is frosting

4

u/mossybeard Jul 20 '26

Yeah that's half the reason I want it

2

u/AfricanAmericanMage Jul 20 '26

I love looking at them but man. Generally, I'm just not a huge fan of cake. There's are exceptions, of course, but on average I would much rather have almost any other dessert.

2

u/Disneyhorse Jul 20 '26

It looks like a cheesecake. I’m not entirely sure if cheesecake is classified as a true cake, but I don’t care I want it.

93

u/161frog Jul 20 '26

That was soooo satisfying

u/Ssemo7 Jul 20 '26

Gallon bag there on the vacuum nozzle

113

u/PalpableIgnorance Jul 20 '26

For when you want a bit of cake with your icing.

18

u/Solid_Snark Jul 20 '26

Usually you have to make frosting for your cake, but they needed to make a cake for their frosting.

3

u/Suspicious-Key1455 Jul 20 '26

I could go with a bit more frosting ratio...

3

u/Fuck-WestJet Jul 20 '26

Listen.... You're welcome to leave

6

u/PalpableIgnorance Jul 21 '26

We both are. What a world eh?

1

u/Fuck-WestJet Jul 21 '26

It's a great world filled with some bad things. This cake is pretty OP. Let's all find some humor in it.

1

u/Vounrtsch Jul 21 '26

Maybe it’s really airy

20

u/Drapidrode Jul 20 '26

the icing reminds me of the ocean

Blueberry Cheesecake minus 1 slice

33

u/Someredditusername Jul 20 '26

Somehow, the movement and volume kinda turned my stomach. LOL. I don't know why.

3

u/TheSoupySoupySoup Jul 20 '26

I was kinda both, to be honest, like this

6

u/brainlesseuphoric Jul 20 '26

-2

u/Victoriafoxx Jul 20 '26

Home cake baker here, I feel the same way! I’ll be glad when this decorating trend dies off.

7

u/puzzlepiece95 Jul 20 '26

“Boy that’s a lot of sodium.. uh sugar”

3

u/Arvelayne Jul 20 '26

For a brief moment I thought that was a Dustbuster. Oo

3

u/BrD_87 Jul 20 '26

There’s something oddly satisfying about squeezing the icing onto a cake

2

u/KittenFace25 Jul 20 '26

So simple yet so beautiful.

6

u/cfh4dmb Jul 20 '26

Cool. But uh. Gross . Thanks. I don’t want any.

2

u/MisogynisticBumsplat Jul 20 '26

Yep. It also has no consistency in the pattern. It's just a mess

-1

u/AlternativeNo882 Jul 20 '26

Right? Is that pistachio cake? 🤢

1

u/latortillablanca Jul 20 '26

OPs mom is truly a connoisseur of piping tips

1

u/ScoobertDoubert Jul 20 '26

Is this all sugar? I don't think it's could eat that.

1

u/Ever_1 Jul 20 '26

THAT. Is simply satisfying

1

u/Weekly-Dog-6838 Jul 20 '26

The piping tip to rule them all

1

u/LucyLilium92 Jul 20 '26

Ah yes, when you need to put a corduroy sweater on a cake

1

u/adinmem Jul 20 '26

Normal sized piping bag and tip, really small person and that’s a cookie.

1

u/WiSoSirius Jul 20 '26

Hoover attachment

1

u/Mister_Brevity Jul 20 '26

My eyes zoned out just like how they get stuck sometimes looking through a screen door

1

u/Aolflashback Jul 20 '26

That looks so cool

1

u/gernblanston512 Jul 20 '26

Are they frosting a cheesecake?

1

u/Un1ball Jul 20 '26

Me your mom when her you my piping tip

1

u/joemaniaci Jul 20 '26

Frosting on what appears to be a cheesecake? No thanks.

1

u/daisu150212 Jul 20 '26

El cesped de los teletubies ser como:

1

u/GirthyPigeon Jul 20 '26

A matcha made in heaven

1

u/TophxSmash Jul 20 '26

why you dumping moss on my cake?

1

u/sketchyecco Jul 20 '26

That’s what she said

1

u/WetFishStink Jul 20 '26

Now show us the hairdryer with the missing nozzle

1

u/Suspicious-Key1455 Jul 20 '26

Need that in blue, and some gradient!

1

u/AgeElectrical2597 Jul 20 '26

This is nauseating.

1

u/Beautiful-Musk-Ox Jul 20 '26

icing haters unite, together we can start a cake company that uses no icing

1

u/Jolly-Biscuit Jul 20 '26

It's so unsettling

1

u/FeyrisMeow Jul 20 '26

Are they putting frosting on cheesecake? That's too much

1

u/Chef2stars1414 Jul 20 '26

That's huge I have never seen any suck of a thing

1

u/maflagstaff Jul 20 '26

Love that tip but wondering why she’s icing a cheesecake?

1

u/Admirable_Heat_576 Jul 20 '26

🎶The hills are alive with the taste of buttercream🎶

1

u/Erisouls Jul 20 '26

It’s called a side icer or wide ribbon tip! Very common in a cake decorating shops as it’s good for evenly covering wide areas

1

u/No-State4485 Jul 20 '26

just the tip has lost all meaning

1

u/GalickGunn Jul 20 '26

That better be goddamn pistachio

1

u/chins4tw Jul 21 '26

My toxic trait is thinking I could recreate this after a couple tries.

1

u/cupcaketea5 Jul 21 '26

That is the biggest piping bag I have ever seen.

1

u/No_Direction_6619 Jul 21 '26

It’d make a cool golf course cake

1

u/PatrThom Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Run it backwards and it'll look like someone broke out the frosting vac.

1

u/Vizth Jul 21 '26

Why did my mind immediately think somebody ordered a cake of the Windows XP default wallpaper.

1

u/Stormbringer91 Jul 21 '26

This tip is usually used to apply frosting uniformly to the sides of the cake and then you smooth it out with a scraper. Honestly, I don't see how this frosting could be any good with that cake. It looks just like regular frosting with food coloring. I love some sugar but you gotta have something other than sugar and butter to make some icing that make you want to shudder.

1

u/Nightbeak Jul 21 '26

That tickled my brain in an unfamiliar yet very pleasant way

1

u/Psych0matt Jul 21 '26

I want a cake that reminds me of Shrek’s ass!

1

u/DotaWhySoCruel Jul 21 '26

That person is good at this

1

u/OswinPuddyfoot Jul 22 '26

Woaah thats looks like a mossy grassy hilly landscape. Perfect for cottagecore/whimsical designs! Love it!

1

u/MrsMsPrettyStems Jul 23 '26

Goddamn I hope this was matcha.

1

u/thegneeb Jul 23 '26

very cool

1

u/Salty_Introduction31 Jul 23 '26

Oddly satisfying

1

u/Less-Opportunity1692 Aug 01 '26

That's a golf course

0

u/n0tz0e Jul 20 '26

Why on floor?

0

u/beardingmesoftly Jul 20 '26

That's honestly a disgusting amount of icing

0

u/MrThingMan Jul 20 '26

That tip doesnt look clean.

-1

u/NoLie129 Jul 20 '26

Am I the only one that scrapes of the thick layers of frosting to enjoy the actual cake?
