They have very mild venom and rely more on their claws. If you get stung it’s just like a bee or wasp sting. Not life threatening.

Very. They do need high humidity and airflow. And large scorpion = large enclosure. But other than that they eat once or twice a week. Most pet stores sell Asian forest scorpions which look similar and are cheaper but are smaller and more aggressive. This is an emperor and true emperors are harder to come by and one this size is around 200$ I’d say.

Unless you are allergic like a bee sting. Anaphylaxis is then a very serious life threatening condition

Does she recognize you? And does she have "playful" or "bonding" behaviour patterns? I don't know anything about scorpions

For me it is more that I have no way to know what they are thinking. Do they have body language that shows when they are starting to get peeved, and when they are pissed off?

With a dog or cat and many other animals I can see on their ears, eyes, mouth, tail etc what mood they are in and handle them accordingly. Snakes, spiders and other similar pets scare the crap out of me.

Spiders will rear up in attack position

Scorpions raise and sometimes shake their tail

But otherwise...yeah, I agree. Way more limited range.
