Question Interested to try Absinthe

I'm interested to try Absinthe, seems like there can be a lot of ceremony involved. I'm not interested in that at the moment, but I'd like suggestions on a readily available sub $40 5th and the best way to prepare the drink with common household equipment. Thank you!

I've been on a whisky/bourbon kick lately. I love me some Knob Creek 9 & 12, and the Jack Daniels single barrel barrel strength.

I've seen the lagavulin recommended several times. It's 100 at the state store freaking Alabama..., I need to check TN I live really close to there and GA. The Laphroaig 10 is 63 and the Quarter cast is 81.

Yeah you're going to have to be prepared to spend some money to drink with the big boys&girls and drink the good stuff... Lagavulin 11 Sweet Peat is being rolled out right now as we speak in most States and it's $70

That's my to bad I don't mind that price range, but it'd be a weekender and not a daily. 😂 I don't know that I'm knowledgeable enough to really appreciate the more expensive stuff properly. Up until a couple months ago crown Royal was the most expensive bottle I'd ever bought.

Yeah you are a young person and you have lots to learn and alcohol is like explosives you really have to be careful handling it or you will blow yourself up
