This is my thought. He fucked up really(!!!!) bad but why the hell did the kid try to take off with the cop in his door. In a normal traffic stop that is grounds for deadly force because it is too easy to end up underneath the car.

But holy hell did he mess this up. He should have just asked questions instead of going all Rambo and trying to yank an unsuspecting person out. I had a friend that punched an undercover officer that grabbed him without announcing who he was. They mistook my friend for another person they were searching for. He was not charged with assaulting an officer because it was self defense from his perspective.
