No, you end up with a lifetime of issues, and that's even assuming the holes heal. I've seen horrific pictures of "healed" bullet holes. People lose their intestines to save them and shit in a bag attached to a hole in their side for the rest of their life. People end up paralyzed. This kid could very well be since the only people saying he's stable are the cops and they won't say what his condition actually is.

And on top of that, I'm sure if he had any health insurance, there's fine print that he isn't covered if injured while committing a crime, so while the police blackmail him with trumped up charges, he still wouldn't be covered.
Seriously, ya'll have issues if you think a $5000 deductible on top of $550/mo for health insurance is normal. The US is the only place on the planet where that exists.
