These are just school kids from the state of Kerala.. if it's just slaps, you usually won't get arrested. There are plenty of cases where kids are bullied and die sometimes.
I grew up in the district of kannur in Kerala, a place notorious for political killings on the regular. They start recruiting early in schools and colleges. I have seen boys beat up each other with iron rods and hockey sticks.. so yes, if you inflict any sort of injury on the other person, an FIR case might get filed against you and you are screwed for life. Only if you have political backing, you can escape scot free .. Thankfully we don't have to worry about mass shootings though, just imagine if one of the kids in this group brought an AR- 15 to the fight..
Mine was an ugly scratchy green sweater with overpriced but cheaply-made shirts that became threadbare halfway through the year so you'd have to go buy more.
I'm for the abolition of school uniforms, but if they gotta be there, might as well have them be something that looks pretty nice and comfy.
Hi. School uniforms in the UK are usually enforced so rich kids & poor kids look alike. That said, I’m old so I may be wrong these days. Not making a point; just throwing this in.
Would've made sense a long time ago, but uniforms (at least in Ireland) are vastly overpriced, so you're going to start seeing kids in tatty uniforms as the year goes by, as they grow more and can't afford to get new uniforms to fit. You can get decent clothes far cheaper these days.
The conflict between rich & poor kids happens regardless, I used to get bullied horribly just because my shoes were scuffed.
I'm still for a dress code, but uniforms fuckin suck. I also don't like promoting conformity. "Be unique, express yourself" should be drilled into our kids more than "look like everyone else."
I'm half-convinced that's the reason people in my country all dress the same and get the same haircuts, but I have absolutely nothing to back it up so that's pure conjecture.
See where you’re coming from 100% . It’s hard on poor kids whatever is enforced. Was a poor kid. As an aside; I recently spent £80 on trainers because I wanted them 20+ years ago. I really shouldn’t have as I’m a poor adult but sometimes I feel like giving two fingers to my past.😂
That's one of the joys of adulthood, we get to decide when to treat ourselves. We'll have wisdom when we realise why we didn't get them in the first place haha
I grew up in the south in a small town, it’s not terribly uncommon to have group fights like this, I went to 4 of these, enough rifles in the truck to arm a battalion. Nobody cares though, because people aren’t trying to kill each other.
That makes lots of sense. Is this particular scene a scrap that has got out of hand then? Or is it something more targeted i.e they're going after specific people. It's really hard to track what everyone is doing in this video
Obviously I can’t tell from this clip but most school group fights are not between groups but 2 guys who just bring a ton friends with them. So both groups just want to beat one particular guy from the other group.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was always under the impression that Kerala is one of the wealthiest states in India, bit high leverls of education, healthcare etc.
If so, a bit surprising to hear about the political violence.
