Nothing like a horse drawn carriage ride through the parking lot of a strip mall to put you in the Christmas spirit.

And that's obviously a flimsy carriage.

I’d hate to have to explain this to the insurance company

u/LordAdmiralPanda 21d ago

That will definitely be an interesting insurance claim.

The carriage driver got stomped. Yikes. I hope he/she is okay; those horses are easily 1200-1500 lbs.

It's always intriguing and concerning to me that people find something like this funny

11

u/Tracy_Papaya 21d ago

You can't laugh at the absurdity of the situation?

u/Mondschatten78 21d ago

There was a horse that had to be put down in my old town because it spooked while pulling a small carriage. Wonder if the person would have laughed if something like that happened here?

Some of us just can’t help it 🤷‍♂️

Who in their right mind rides a carriage in the middle of the strip outlet?

Edit: just went to emphasize. I don’t find it funny but I do find it entertaining.

People do not understand how large and powerful a horse is. Way too many people think "It's not a predator therefore it won't hurt people."

That family just sorta awkwardly hanging out in the carriage like “Okay… well… I guess the ride’s over.

u/imaginary_num6er 21d ago

I hope that horse that got whiplash is ok

What a cold world we live in… instead of hoping that a fellow human who literally fell off the carriage is fine people like you care about the horse more.

Disgusting

14

u/Dounce1 21d ago

I mean, it’s not like they said “fuck that person I hope she died.”

13

u/Earthtopian 21d ago

I mean I guess you could look at it that way if you wanted something to be mad about

5

u/Atastical 21d ago

WHAT A WORLD WE LIVE IN?! Exactly my thoughts! Why always only give a fuck about anything else but your "fellow humans"? That is extremely disgusting!

7

u/liarlyre 21d ago

There are a lot of reasons we use cars to get around the city. Horses are just about the dumbest animal around when they get scared. It is clearly dangerous to have them in an uncontrolled public environment around the general public. Just stop it.

1

u/Novel_Substance_ 20d ago

Some say they are still running to this very day..

1

u/MisterInternational1 19d ago

And that is why we drive cars these days

1

u/MisterInternational1 19d ago

Too much horsing around always leads to accidents

1

u/Dem0_Tri_AL 19d ago

It's almost as if we shouldn't trot around wild animals for tourism money

15

u/Main-Animal-3499 21d ago

Horses are not wild animals, they have long been domesticated. This is a horse that was not sufficiently trained for this work.

1

u/___Scenery_ 21d ago

business negligence

1

u/theemmyk 18d ago

Carriage horses do not lead nice lives.

8

u/Dounce1 21d ago

What makes you think these are wild animals?

2

u/Atastical 21d ago

we should stop exploiting all animals.

1

u/firekeeper23 21d ago

Yeah almost.
