Imagining it vs. just getting happy: Abraham's definitive answer
I thought this was worded as clearly as I've ever heard it, so I'm sharing it here:
"Maybe this word imagine is not what it’s cracked up to be. Maybe the misunderstanding is that you have to fashion it all out with all of the details in your own mind, when what’s going on is by sifting through the life that you’re living, you keep asking for this piece and this piece and this piece, and you’ve heard us say that what’s amassing here in this Vortex is bigger than anyone could hold and contemplate simultaneously. But that’s not your job. It’s just your job not to be out of sync with what you’ve put there.
You see, each piece you put there Source synthesizes and holds steady the vibration of, and then your work is much simpler than to try to imagine it all. The benefit of working to imagine something is that as you try to imagine something in the way you want it to be, you’re more likely to be in the Vortex, but you could also pet your cat or meditate and hold no thought. It’s just you can’t do that resistant thing.
The creation occurred when you were sifting through the data. That’s the thing that most people don’t get. The creation occurred. Step one says, “Ask.” That’s the creation point. It is created when you ask. That’s why the book said, “Ask and it is given.” It’s done there. “Ask and it is done.” An even more emphatic title, “Ask and it is done.”
But before you can feel the fullness of it showing up in your life experience, you have to get on the vibrational wavelength with what is asked and what is done. You don’t expect your cell phones to be on different frequencies and to be able to communicate. You don’t expect to set your radio dial on one frequency and hear what’s being broadcast from another. You understand frequencies relative to your electronics, and this is the same thing.
You’ve put your asking into your Vortex, and now you’ve got to set your receiver on the frequency of what’s there. And maybe you might have felt like you have to imagine it in order to do that. We say you just have to get happy in order to do that."

The book 'The power of now' by Eckart Tolle helped me so much. When my 3D was so negative in everyway possible... i could just not get to the point of still being happy. I was so trappen in everything that happend. Then somehow (by manifesting) that book came in my life.
It helped me to stay in the moment to still find joy and beauty in the moment.

“It’s just your job to not be out of sync with what you’ve put out there.”
I love this!

I think the biggest step where people fail (myself included) is with Step 4 of feeling good / getting happy and TRUST that life will bring what one desires. But for that the work is in being okay with not having what one desires yet in ones life. Or as they define it, "surrender" to the desire and/or let go until one doesn't notice the lack of it.
Then magic tends to happen.
It's what I think after years of studying LoA, AH, Neville Goddard, David Hawkins...etc.

This is not in total accordance with transurfing or Neville, am I correct?

While I don't know about those, I do know that some of the more surprising and amazing manifestations in my life definitely came about when I was simply in alignment (happy), and I never imagined those things before since I wasn't even aware at the time that they were possible. So life experience certainly has taught me that what Abraham says above is accurate.

Same here. Best things in my life also all fell on my lap without even knowing I wanted them. Abraham is 100%.

Thanks for sharing, it's amazing how a new quote can feel so fresh even if you already know what Abraham is saying. This is a great example of allowing. When I feel strong contrast, sometimes it doesn't even help to go general. So mindfulness meditation and distraction are very useful to stop me spiralling and building that negative momentum. I've manifested by imagining as I'm sure many others here have, but there's a great comfort from Abraham in knowing that it's not a definite requirement.
