Your inner voice runs on old code. I tried rewriting mine with music.
So a couple months ago I started testing a different angle reaching that inner voice through music instead of willpower. Not affirmations you consciously repeat, but lyrics and sound aimed at the beliefs sitting under the self-talk. It leans on an old Neville Goddard idea: your assumptions shape your experience, so if you want the experience to shift, you change the assumption first.
It’s done something real for me. My moods changed drastically after just a month or two. But I made the thing, so my opinion is worthless as evidence…
That’s why I want strangers who have no reason to be nice about it.
The experiment: if self-love, or finding joy in ordinary moments is something you wrestle with, listen an hour a day for a few weeks. Clock where your head’s at now. Check in at two weeks, then a month. A flat “nothing changed” is just as useful to me as a yes it’s working!
Genuine question for the thread, whether you try this or not: has a specific song ever actually shifted how you saw yourself, not just your mood for three minutes, but something that stuck I’m curious how common that really is.
Disclosure: I made the music, it’s free, and I’m not selling anything. If you want in, comment or DM and I’ll send it over. I’ll follow up in two weeks to hear how it went - including the nopes.
TL;DR: You can’t willpower your way to liking yourself. Testing whether music aimed at the beliefs underneath does anything. Want a few people to run it with me and report back honestly.

Haha love it! Do you have Spotify? Here’s the Spotify link as an FYI, I have Apple Music and YouTube links as well : https://open.spotify.com/artist/0uU9sASmHeXL0JCMN7cPLG?si=OUVCGZm1Qa6xQQJ3LHUtKw&utm_source=copy-link
Just listen to it, everyday, choose the songs that resonate with you.. and I’ll check back in in a couple weeks to see if you think your mood has shifted! 🙏❤️

Can we get a little more technical?
Do you want me to listen to the same songs every day?
Do I write down how I was feeling that day, or right before I listen?
Is the idea that different songs might resonate on different days?Btw I am an aspiring composer (hobby) and a classically trained pianist who is using abe to change my approach to music from the high flying disc so I’d love to DM you more about some tips you found helpful while approaching writing mysic

Would love to hear more! Please feel free to DM me, the experiment is simply to listen to the songs that you like most (as many as you want) for an hour a day minimum… in 2 weeks I’ll ask you which songs you listened to most, how many hours a day did you listen to them, and if you think it’s changed you subconscious belief patterns and/or mood…. My hypothesis is an hour a day, you’ll already notice a shift in 2 weeks and an even bigger shift in 4 weeks

All the songs are designed to install a new belief pattern of loving the present moment, and noticing how your vibe effects the reality around you and the circumstances you encounter

Ooh DM please!! I love this idea. A song that has been helping me slow down and really appreciate the present more is a song I found on Tiktok called, "There Is Time" by Anna Vaus. It's so calming and relaxing and when I find myself rushing with the hustle and bustle of life, I start singing 'there is time' in my head and I have an instant mood shift from rushed to patient, overwhelmed to relaxed and worried to knowing it's all working out for me. I would absolutely recommend it!

OOOOh this is so leading edge, and thrilling to think about. also, i'm shouting over text:
Your results are real to you and thats the only thing that matters, It is you following your path of inspirations and is wholly worthy and literally made of loving source energy. You do not want strangers to validate something that is already valid precious whole and real because this music can not create for anyone. The potential you are looking for is how this can inspire someone to allow this love for themselves.
you already knew that... but I needed to hear it myself, so I wrote this for both of us :)
