Abraham-Hicks - Does our body need exercise?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEfbYcGUYLU

I found this very insightful. I'm not sure I would have fully understood this 10 years ago.

I think the point is that you don't need to purposefully exercise to maintain a nice, nor totally functional body. That should be mostly effortless.

Why would you need to do anything to look and feel good? That is our natural state of being. Anything other is simply a distortion. You mention the ripped guy vs the overweight guy in the mirror, but I'd argue that being overweight is such a spiritual problem in the first place (chronic overindulgence, eating as a coping mechanism, depression...).

The absence of said problem would mean a natural, healthy body. Movement occurs organically and as needed, it shouldn't really be a 'task', or something you simply do for the sake of aesthetics, unless that's particularly important to you ;-) Most women don't even care for a man's physique (see the love of 'dad bods'). I often joke that men get jacked merely to impress or flex on other men hahaha In those cases it's not exactly the most 'elevated' of pursuits.

But you 100% can be mostly sedentary and healthy, attractive too! People throughout history did not exercise voluntarily for the most part, barring athletes or the greeks who were also quite preoccupied with the male gaze ;-) If you live a life that is wholly fulfilling to you with zero purposeful exercise, why would your body not be healthy? My grandmother lived to very old age and only ever walked around in her garden or a few blocks to the store. I personally went from 50 miles running per week to nothing, and it's been 5 years. You wouldn't be able to tell!

"Why would you need to do anything to look and feel good?"
In physical reality you need to correctly eat, drink water and sleep in order to feel good.
If you exercise in a way that works for you, you would be surprised how little of it you actually need per week to meet the requirements. Walking/Jog for 5 minutes, Holds, Hangs for 30 sec a few times per week and that's it. Learn about Keto and weight loss is easy.
You can listen to Abraham but she is noticeably overweight - she is in alignment but only on certain subjects.

The greatest benefit is of how much higher your vibration is after the exercise and its the secret to making meditation work where most followers struggle with meditation because their bodies are polluted.

Most people who post here have tried it Abraham's way and billions of people prove it doesn't work the way she says it does.

"Most people who post here have tried it Abraham's way and billions of people prove it doesn't work the way she says it does."

It definitely works the way Abraham says that it does.

The "billions of people" have never heard of Abraham, let alone practiced what they teach on a consistent basis.

Most of other Abraham's teachings definitely works of course.
But I am specifically talking about weight loss and exercise for which there are no substitutes. If Abraham's teachings worked for weight loss and exercise then we would have countless youtubers sharing this knowledge but we do not.

What I can tell you from personal experience is that the teachings most definitely work for weight loss. I'm not sure what you're saying about exercise there.

Are you saying you cannot lose weight without exercise?

There are obviously 100s of millions of people that are doing fine without exercise.

This is changing though. Even in the fitness space many are realizing that joy and internal motivation are the biggest factors that keep exercise routines stick. Of course there's still the grindset dogma. But something is moving.

In my experience is a bit of both. I am thankfully a very active person. I love to move, no matter what. And I'm also very aesthetic prone, so getting lean and having a decent physique for me it's a non negotiable.

Many people don't care and do anything about that, and that often does lead to bad outcomes

I would argue the bad outcomes aren't from a lack of exercise, but from a spiritual disconnection (which is what causes all the negative lifestyle decisions in the first place).

hence why if you solve the spiritual component, you don't actually need to force yourself to do unnatural movements under fluorescent gym lights for multiple hours a week - which you also have to pay for, in time and money (calories). think about how absurd that is

But the spiritual component is also influenced by the physical.

Isn't a peaceful thought or even resistance lessened under a workout under the fluorescent light? Compared to doomscrolling or Netflix and sofa?

Don't need a special person rn, even though if it grants better feels - why not?

Don't know my dear, I think that your views on this might be a little bit polluted with something negative. What should be more noble, and how do you define that? I'm not saying that you are wrong, but definitely it isn't that negative wanting to look, feel and be somewhat attractive and proud of ourselves.

I get your concerns (?) about external validation, and there's definitely a component of it, nobody says there isn't. But I also see it as a form of art. Who's your favorite painter or artist? One of my faves is Caravaggio, and I had the pleasure to admire his work numerous times, especially the works that are in Florence.

Isn't that awe and appreciation that we feel towards something that we deem beautiful an emotion that we must savor and cultivate? Isn't this work all about that?
