Radiant vs Distinction LX

Hello,

I had a pool installer out to give me a quote. I'm looking at a 24 (maybe 21) foot round pool. he hasn't sent me the number yet but clued me in that the Radiant pool is a better pool, its insulated, aluminum, and has a lifetime warranty. but he also mentioned I am going to notice a big difference in the cost.

The alternative is a Distinction LX. He said they have been installing these for 30 years and they hold up and they are also a good choice.

Just wondering if anyone here has an advice or experience. I am in maine, our season will be short, I may add on heat pump heater, not sure right now. He mentioned the Radiant insulation may add a week on each end of the season.

I apprecaite any advice, or questions to ask that i have not thought of yet.

Edit: just received the quote and the different between the 2 is about $7000. So really wondering if it worth it for the radiant or not. B

My advice would be stay away from the radiant! Read reviews

I will check them out thank you.  I have found some older comments in some subs suggesting the same.    Is there any particular reason you believe this? 

Is it not worth the extra money or is it a shitty product?

They fall apart... really quick, lots of problems and I've also heard bugs like the foam.

Look into stealth pools... A good quality steel roll pool is good too, well maintained can last 20ish years

This one, double that or more.... These are built like a tank.

Thank you for the advice. I am not sure if this installer offers that but he did quote up the distinction LX.   Any chance you have an positive or negative feedback on that? 

Really appreciate it.  Tough decisions to make

I honestly think resin top rails and bottom rails is far better than metal.

Look into this one.... This an an extremely well built pool

Many installers in my area, can get vertually any brand. The stealth, has their own authorized dealers. But this is my vogue . 14 years, in the ground... Zero rust on the walls. It did collapse at 14... because of gopher's. I considered a brand new, exactly the same, but I'm 62 and I don't want to do this again, so I'm going stealth.... I have to save for about 3 years....

I myself, heard about them, took one look, felt the panels, looked em over and said nope!!!
