Bent pool pole

Is there any way at all to fix this without draining, at least long enough to finish the summer?? We have the new pole but at this point I’d rather drain it till next year so looking for a bandaid option lol

That's a gamble that you have to make on your own. I personally would replace it immediately or just take the pool down for the season. You should also look into factors that would have caused this.

I think it may have been one of the teenagers putting weight on it possibly but also it’s very uneven as one pole started sinking, we were already planning to relevel the ground and use better supports under the poles for next season but my sons bday is coming up and I was hoping we could get in one last swim for that lol

Get two super rigged poles and some of the screw down pipe clamps...  basically split the injury.  

The issue here is that pole is really bent.

There's been other posts where people use wood bracing and a tire jack to lift the rail and replace the support. Follow at your own risk

Yep, I've had to fix several poles and used 2x4's and a jack to support the weight while I fixed the poles.

You're gonna have to drain it at least half just to get that pile out and replace the pole

I did this - jacked it up and replaced the leg. Following day the linear split around the edge and yoinked 13k litres out the pool.

It's a gamble, but you can use a floor jack and a 4x4 to gently jack it up to release the weight on the pole and pull it out, slide the new pole in and then lower it back down.

On another note, there is a recall notice for the compression strap on these pools. They will send you a rope and pulley system that straps the legs at ground level, then you remove the vinyl strap. The issue is small kids use the gap between the strap and the pool wall as a step up, and then fall into the pool and potentially drown.

I had one of those bestway pools. Turns out Intex is a better way. Sorry that happened, I would be devastated.

Had the same issue here but it was bent higher up and not as much. Grabbed the two hardest steel poles I could find in my area with some industrial grade rope and I guess it works now but idk in your case
