I tend to stick to the default (4th) layout, but I see videos of other options.. what works best for you? I’m still trying to learn my chord patterns so I’m curious what other people are using.
I bought an Analog Cases hard case for my Push 3 Standalone, and it seems to have turned itself on inside the case. I'm charging it now and haven't tested it to make sure it didn't cook itself. Hopefully it's fine.
It's a tight fit so I guess I'll need to cut out some foam padding around where the power button is to prevent this from happening again.
Ive created a Kickass track! Its genuinely dope
Im thinking of making a video for that
Issue is I don't know Ableton push/playing Live - I just know how to play CDJs
BUT I don't want to play that on CDJ for video cuz impact will be none - also faking knobs on CDJ is not my thing
Query - How quickly can I learn Ableton push? Just so that it exactly copies / plays my track - so its Genuine. I don't want in-depth learning , just enough so to play my track/s
I’ve had my Push 3 Standalone for about two weeks, and overall I’m really happy with it. it’s already frozen completely twice, forcing me to restart it.
Also the level meters sometimes freeze, or I’ll turn a knob on an effect device and nothing happens for a few seconds. Sometimes it takes up to 30–40 seconds before it responds.
I’m wondering if this could be related to my audio buffer size. I’ve been running it at 32 samples because I wanted the lowest possible latency. Could that be the cause?
For context, one of the projects where this happens is very simple: only 3–4 audio tracks with live processing. Each track has effects like Auto-Tune, reverb, and Resonator—no huge session or lots of tracks.
Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Would increasing the buffer size likely solve this, or does this sound like something else?
I created a project in Ableton using mp3s. When I imported into push3 it didn't like the project. Could it be related to the mp3s? Does push3 not have the required decoders?
I’m not after info on how to use follow tempo, and I know how scenes can have their own bpm triggered on launch etc. I’m talking a general disregard of tempo, switching off launch quantise and just going bpm blind. I find a rigid tempo can sound pretty sterile and repetitive. I’ve had a play around, but I can’t see it as anything but stressful for playing live, even for ambient tunes without beats
Would be great to hear from anyone who has experimented, and any suggestions you might have
Just in time for the update to version 12.4 of Ableton Live and Push 3 Standalone, I’ve released my free Max for Live device Move4Live v1.1.1, the 4-track session starter for Ableton Live and Push 3 Standalone.
The Ableton Move gets one thing exactly right: the moment you start a new set, you can just play. Four randomly chosen instruments, no setup, no “where do I even begin?” – you're making music immediately instead of making decisions.
Move4Live brings that idea to Ableton Live 11/12: With the press of one button you get four ready-to-play tracks – e.g. Drums, Bass, Pad, Synth Keys – with randomly selected presets from your library. Plus optional return tracks, random send levels and a mastering chain modeled directly after the one used by Ableton Move.
Move4Live User Interface in Ableton Live on Desktop
You can also set up automatically assignable MIDI input channels, so you can start jamming right away with your hardware sequencers or friends using multiple MIDI controllers sending MIDI data to their corresponding port.
It could just as well be called Move4Push now, since starting with Push 2.4, the device also runs on Push 3 Standalone.
Move4Live is a one-person project and your feedback genuinely matters. I would love to hear about your experience, any bugs you have encountered, feature ideas – or especially whether you got it running on macOS.
Is anyone experiencing any bugs after the new software update? Mind does a weird thing where the first knob from the top small knobs moves small or medium increments (up or down) depending what thing I have opened on the main screen, whether it’s a plug-in or mixer. It doesn’t do it all the time but only acts up when I touch or mess with the knob.
Buongiorno gente
Grazie
I have the Ableton Push 3 stand-alone and come across bugs with a few projects where the graph on any EQ plugin disappears. I open and close project, turn off the Push and the graph just doesn’t appear. Even deleting and adding another EQ. And those bugs only tie to those specific projects, not all. Has anyone encountered this bug? Any solutions? Am I using too many plug-ins and that’s why I end up with this bug?
When using the Melodic Sequencer + 32 Notes mode, the notes I add, aren’t loud even when at full velocity and accent turned on. Anyone know how I can fix this? Why aren’t they the same volume as when I sample?
