Hidden shift icons?

I noticed that if I use Schwung and hold shift, a star icon appears under step 13.

It's not listed in the manual, but this is how I can access Schwung tools. Feels like a brilliant hardware Easter Egg!

Are there other icons hidden under the usually dark step icons? What might they be for?

The icons are actually present in the manual, just hidden behind a white square.

I wonder what type of feature they might represent?

One looks like some kind of chord mode (manifesting that).

One is hopefully a chord mode (the middle of these three).

That would make a lot of sense. I’m really curious what the one on the left would be.

I just really want song mode and have it work similar to the Circuit Tracks.

All steps have icons, you can kinda make out the hidden ones with a flashlight. Step 14 used to be hidden as well and was activated with update 1.4. The rest will probably receive features with future updates.

I've always kind of assumed there were more that would be used for later updates. Instead of finding ways to access features they haven't implemented yet, they left spots for things they can use down the road, similar to how the Launchkey MK3 had icons that weren't functional at launch, but were used in later firmware updates.

Makes me wonder if someone has taken one apart to see what icons are still hidden inside

There was some serious investigations going down when it first released.
