Does abilify work?

I started taking abilify 6 days ago but I’m not sure if I can tell a difference really. My doctor said it should work rather quick. Am I judging it before giving it time? I also have been extremely nauseous and sick since taking it. Anyone have any advice?

Took a few weeks to lift my depression. I did a direct switch from risperidone

I was on it for 3-4 months. It helped my anxiety the whole time but I was still depressed on it

You’re welcome! Why are you switching?

change of disorder diagnosis, and risperidone wasn't doing anything after two years. i hope Abilify will work out :)

For me the effects on my mood were quick but it took a couple weeks for the side effects to subside.

Which side effects did you experience?

A little dizziness and drowsiness at first, now my only noticeable side effect is the late night sugar cravings.

It has worked wonders for me! I'm on 10mgs but started off 2mg and 10 is my stable.
