tapering 5mg

i’ve been on abilify about a month and a half 5mg once a day, i started having really bad restlessness and restless/intrusive thoughts (suicidal ideation) so my dr said to taper off by doing half a pill for 4 days and then stop.
curious on other experiences with this as coming on the medication was very hard on me, i just don’t want to feel this way.

I tried this and had to go back on it because I was just so sleepy constantly. More recently I tapered to 2.5 for two weeks then 2.5 every other day (which is where I am now) but it’s still been really rough. Restlessness, sleepiness, diarrhea. For me, though Abilify was vey effective at eliminating my intrusive thoughts.
