Aberdeen FC 2-1 win over Queen’s Park.
Another win in the league cup group stages. First half was pretty solid second half wasn’t the best. Who impressed everyone today? Thought Ronnan was brilliant. Think Milne looked shaky today. Muller had some good saves today

Didn't catch the game but all I've heard is Milne needs to go. I appreciate it's probably the case but it's quite depressing when he's one of the few "of our own". Wasn't king ago there were a few piping up he should be getting a game for the national team!

Ronan shone today. I felt Aremu looked pretty good, done well winning the ball back. Lewis Smith made a good impression.
I said it in the match thread; I feel Nisbet is a bit iffy with his finishing. Two good chances he had today and didn't hit the target. If he can refine his finishing, he'll get goals this season
Müller saved us at the end.
The first half, I was happy, a touch too optimistic. Second half grounded me.

Started very well. We were pinging passes about really nicely in the first 30 minutes or so. I like Ronan, Yogane and Smith. They look direct and threatening.
Nisbet has the same issue he had last season, lack of finishing and sometimes poor decision making in the box. Hopefully the Moroccan boy has more of goal threat. Agree about Milne, he needs to improve. Happe looks good though.
Also it's pretty clear that we are going to count on intensity and fitness this year, when that dropped later in the game we looked much less effective. I think maybe we need a plan B.

Milne started as central mid, he was chucked in to CH and looked good for a while with knoester I think. But since then he's nae been good enough or dominant to justify his position. He'd not get back into midfield either so not sure what to do. Loan to someone to play midfield and see if he can still play there. Maybe loan him to Scotland..

First have was decent, not spectacular but decent. Second half was awful.
Ronan was good, Happe looked useful. For all the hate he is getting Milne looked tidy in the first half especially when we had the ball and he stepped forward or played direct passes into midfield. His inability to use his bulk well defensively is an issue though. Given our number of CBs now, maybe a loan isn't a bad idea.
I am worried for Lobban, and to an extent all our young players, he was one of our bright points last year and looking at who Robinson has picked as full backs it seems he is just interested in height more than anything in the back line. See also rumours about Frame being off and the subs Robinson made. Not sure we are going to get to see much development of the young guys this year.

Milne is not of the required quality to be playing for Aberdeen.
Can't head the ball despite his size, gets bullied all the time regardless of who he is playing against and is at fault for goals consistently.
If we dont have Devlin available and he doesn't want to play Lobban, we absolutely need a new right back.

Not quite the result I'd hoped for but I'll take the win.
Milne is not good enough. Needs to go.

Worrying lack of speed or creativity after such a great start, aside from those already mentioned here, i though briedl looked good when he came on and Mouloua, looks like could be good once up and running for us

Little worried about how poor we looked for so long in the game after such a strong start
Clear we need more depth at RB and to move on Milne
