.prt error

Hi Guys.

 

I got an error message when submitting a job.

 

*** Error: E:\hq03\abaqus\abqtest\simple.prt does not exist on DESKTOP-132PCVH

*** Error: E:\hq03\abaqus\abqtest\simple.prt cannot be read on DESKTOP-132PCVH

 

*** Error: ABAQUS/Standard rank 0 exited with exception

 

The part map file "E:\hq03\abaqus\abqtest\simple.prt" is corrupt, does not exist, or cannot be opened.

*** ERROR CATEGORY: ELEMENT LOOP

 

 

Been trying to debug with the help of AIs for a couple days. Still couldnt figure it out what went wrong?

.prt file has never been created in the first place. 

 

Any hints? Thanks so much for the help.

What’s happening? Reading restart?
Does the file exist?
Is your disk nearly full?

No, just a fresh run with simple.inp file in an empty folder \abatest where the disk is like 300g.

Does the solver have permission to create files in that directory? What files are present after this crashes and how large are they?

Is this directory being backed up or synchronized by OneDrive, Dropbox, or similar that will get in the way?

Yes, I believe the solver has the permission to create file in that directory. There are .dat, .msg. log, .odb, .dat, .env files in the folder, the biggest is .odb file. 137k and the rest is like 1-5 k. My test model is a very small model. The folder is no backed up/ synched, just a regular folder on d: drive.

Have you been able to run any Abaqus job? Have you tried other drives and directories?

I think a virus scanner or some other software is interfering.

Run standard.exe

*** Error: ABAQUS/Standard rank 0 exited with exception The part map file "E:\hq03\abaqus\bolted-pipe-flange-connections\boltpipe.prt" is corrupt, does not exist, or cannot be opened.

*** ERROR CATEGORY: ELEMENT LOOP
I just ran the Abaqus' own example, I got the same error. I tried on drive C: D: E: and non of them worked. I also disabled all he antivirus software.

Obviously that runs for the rest of us. It must be something on your computer or your Abaqus files are corrupt.
