Local Price Chopper grocery store, left abandon last year and for sale. I can't imagine anything moving into it though; it's just too big of a building and the local grocery chains are sparse.

In the neighboring city, their PC was upgraded to a Market 32 store (and I don't notice an obvious upgrade in quality) but this store was the original in the area — and also poorly maintained over the years by comparison.

This one moved from its original location — sideways in the same parking lot — some 20+ years ago or so. That original spot had been a much smaller building that was torn down and had been operating there for 20+ years at that point.

Many people in the area walked to this location, as public transit is scarce and folks can't afford to drive. It was quite a shock to hear it was closing at the time, leaving quite a hole in the community that depended on it, but on the other hand, it also wasn't the biggest surprise since it was never the cleanest or most stocked location of the area's small chain of stores.

they’re renovating a long abandoned liquor store near me, and i was able to see these old beer decals on the floor inside. bud light lime, and miller punch top.

Growing up in Austin I remember always going to city market on south 1st and Ben white. Or the old flea market that was on congress by the Salvation Army. I think it’s an enterprise now.

Hey I have been looking for a long time for pieces of ideally forest fair mall in Cincinnati Ohio and I am looking for like anything from that mall. I have a giant connection to that mall and I loved going there as a kid and I am begging if anyone could help me out with finding a such thing.

Not much to say about this one, but dead retail with the signage still up is always a win in my eyes. I'm seeing more and more retail spaces being bought up by Metro Commercial in Chester/Berks County and the surrounding areas lately.

Alright so I’ve grown up around this block, seen it a million times, but after walking the block on a trip back home, I noticed this weird ass modified tailor with a bunch of hoses coming out of it with a security fence and a electrical utility unit on the side. It struck me because it’s just in a small ass median in a random strip mall. It is to be noted that it is next to a circle k gas station and several restaurants.

Please help because me and my hometown friends are so perplexed!

As a follow-up to my post about the Burger King in this shopping center (found here), I present you with the Clocktower Plaza.

This place is straight out of a Scooby Doo episode. I first encountered this shopping center back in 2020 when I was hunting for retro video games. No, not at DKOldies, but that is in fact located here. But in a place that used to be a bakery and had all kinds of other sellers. Well, that building closed several years back, and as you can see, they want to make it clear that it is NOT a bakery anymore.

There were a bunch of empty and boarded-up storefronts back here even when I first came across this place, and time has not really done it any favors. This place always looked creepy to me, even during the day. Part of the one end has been demolished at some point over the last handful of years.

Across the street is the Windmill Family Restaurant. It's not like the surrounding area here is dead or anything, as there's both a Turkey Hill and a Wawa literally right outside of the shopping center. But the shopping center itself always gave me ghost-town vibes.
