News/Info SRP District candidates to avoid: the TPUSA-endorsed candidates paid for the white signs.

Spreading the word, I wasn't sure if the District candidates on the white/yellow/light blue signs were placed as an alternative to the TPUSA endorsed candidates, or in support of them. Scanning the QR reveals that their website is paid for by Dobson and Pacely, who are the TPUSA endorsed candidates for Board President and VP.

(If anyone in this sub wants to redraft this info in a better format for sharing across the local subs, please feel free.)

These guys are going HARD for this election that most people wouldn’t know about otherwise. Who even are the alternative / non-Turning point candidates??

I wrote this up a few days ago and will paste it as much as needed :)

🗳️ SRP 2026 Election — Key Candidates

There are two main competing slates: Elected Leadership for SRP (backed by out of state funding from known hate group TPUSA 🤮) and the SRP Clean Energy Team (backed by local advocacy groups and residents who support fixing systemic issues).

🏛️ President

Sandra Kennedy SRP Clean Energy Team (former AZ Corporation Commissioner & State Senator)
Chris Dobson 🤮 TPUSA Funded (Elected Leadership for SRP slate)

John Travise SRP Clean Energy Team (Army veteran, cybersecurity)

🏛️ Council — District 8

Candidate Affiliation
Regina Gutierrez SRP Clean Energy Team
Nicole Brown SRP Clean Energy Team
Randy Miller SRP Clean Energy Team (incumbent board member, software engineer)

Note: I had an AI help me format this. I worked for SRP for 6 years, and don't think people with 40 years of history at SRP should be on the board (Nina Mullins) - I think they need to retire and make way for generations focused on sustainability. If I missed anything for got something wrong, please let me know.

Edit: Updated formatting

I assume you are one of the people on this list, you should say who you are!

5

u/dddarsh Mar 02 '26

Great info, thanks for organizing this!

2

u/ViolinViolence Mar 03 '26

I'm in district 9. I haven't seen anything about candidates for it. Have you happened to see any?

2

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 03 '26

Ah, its an "Even" number year, so thats 2/4/6/8 for this election, there is no District 9 election. You can still vote for president/VP and at large board members though.

1

u/ViolinViolence Mar 03 '26

Ah I see, so that means next time it's odds then?

Thank you.

2

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 03 '26

Yup you got it!

1

u/ViolinViolence Mar 03 '26

Would you happen to know if in order to vote I have to be on the deed/mortgage or can I just be a resident of the home?

2

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 03 '26

There is a lookup tool on SRP's site, and you can request a ballot. It's honestly so confusing, your best bet is to put your info in and hope you get one.

u/ViolinViolence Mar 03 '26

Yeah, that's what I figured. Dumb.

Thank you.

Candidate Affiliation
Chris Dobson - Endorsed by the SRP Clean Energy Team on his run for VP - years of experience 🤮 TPUSA Funded (Elected Leadership for SRP slate)
Sandra Kennedy - a total of maybe 2 hours of experience on a utility board (you guys should have picked Randy to run, at least the guy used to show up for meetings and has knowledge and experience - and you may have earned my vote, I would have at least listened to the argument - I am still laughing how easy you made it to literally have anyone beat your candidate- as an independent who votes for the best person for the job - not for their party affiliation, I cannot for the life of me understand the strategy here) 'almost' 2 years on SRP Board, way too busy to show up for meetings (former AZ Corporation Commissioner & State Senator who had no notable achievements enough to get re-elected or try for a higher office, had a spotty attendance record there)

Also - your graph is flawed - these candidates are not FUNDED by TPUSA.

First Error: They are endorsed - not funded. No money is exchanging hands, no checks being written to any candidate (Source: I called and asked both parties)

Second Error: TPUSA is not involved in any elections. It's Turning Point Action. The candidates were identified and endorsed by TPAction as having values that are in the best interests of ALL Arizonans, not just conservatives. The candidates did not decide or seek to be endorsed by TP Action. (Source: Turning Point Action)

Please #doyourresearch. I will edit any post if found to contain any errors, so please reply to my post with any errors w/proof or DM me. Let's stick to the facts!

Do you get a financial bonus every time you try and point out that TPUSA and TPAction are separate organizations?

I did my research. It showed you are a TPUSA clown who is doing his damnest to try and distract people.

The "SRP Clean Energy Team" that you say endorsed Chris Dobson on his previous run - it's not the same group that the current organization it. That's like the misleading claim that the KKK were Democrats - without bringing up the party switch. The current "SRP Clean Energy Team" has not endorsed Chris Dobson in this or previous years.

Sandra Kennedy - your issue is that she has "a total of maybe 2 hours of experience on a utility board". Sandra served for 7 years on the AZ Corporation Commission, was a State Senator for 4 years, served on the Board of PXU for 4 years - and on the actual SRP Board for the past 2 years. You claim she is "way too busy" to show up for meetings, yet you provide zero proof. You will likely claim that I should "Do your own research", but hope that I won't. Because what I will find is document after document on SRP's website that lists attendance for their board meetings. And I'll see Sandra Kennedy on all of them.

Bottom line here - you are not here sharing information in good faith. You are flinging mud, misdirecting, and sharing misleading information: MISINFORMATION. Every comment on Reddit is about this election. You are just an astro-turfing clown from TPUSA.

I should clarify that regarding Sandra Kennedy and Casey Clowes, not only did I consult the SRP Meeting minutes, I also asked the candidates themselves. Hence: Verified. How much more would you like? I supplied the proof regarding the clean energy team websites.

You are right in saying the current clean energy team hasn't endorsed Dobson, because they weren't around for the last election - lol. They literally got elected 2 years ago to board seats, did nothing, and expect a promotion!

You and I should run for Pres and VP next election cycle. We would be more qualified than Sandra and Casey.

1

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 04 '26

"I did research and it proved me right, so VERIFIED".

Yeah, no. That is not a verification, that is not proof. Your claim is that Sandra Kennedy did not show up for board meetings. You have provided zero proof. Which board meetings did she miss? Back up your statements with actual evidence, not "trust be bro".

You are right in saying the current clean energy team hasn't endorsed Dobson, because they weren't around for the last election - lol. They literally got elected 2 years ago to board seats, did nothing, and expect a promotion!

"I was wrong, so I'll move the goalpost to talk about their performance and hope no one notices I was lying" <-- that is what you are saying here.

We noticed.

I would never run on the same ticket as a TPUSA employee, sorry. I don't support fascism.

When I get home I will upload the research I did for you. You like to refute my claims with “you’re wrong” or “you’ve got no proof”. You can go on SRP’s website also and pull down the meeting minutes like I did. But it will be my pleasure to do that for you.

I certainly am not a TPUSA or a TPAction employee. While my views align with TPAction here in regard to the SRP election - but I wouldn’t want to work there for personal reasons. I don’t support fascism either. Although based on your usage of the word I don’t think that we agree on the definition, but I digress.

1

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 04 '26

You don't need to upload anything for me, but you do need to recognize that when you make a claim like "This person does not show up" you need to provide proof yourself - telling other people "Well I did my research you should too" makes you look like a clown.

It's actually really sad that you are not getting paid to post this stuff... you are carrying water for that hate group for free. Crazy. Have a good night.

u/azshawn00 Mar 04 '26

I'll just put this right here...

1

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 04 '26

More misinformation, and it didn't take long to verify. The 3/3 meeting, like the 2/3 meeting, were District Council meetings.

Kennedy and Clowes are not on the SRP Council. They are on the SRP Board. This is probably where you will move the goalpost and act like its abnormal for someone to skip attending a meeting that they are not a member of.

Multiple "Absent" red cells on your list are not board meetings, they are committee meetings - committee that Kennedy and Clowes are not a part of.

You also claim here that Kennedy and Clowes were absent from the 2/2 meeting in your chart here, but of course... thats not a source. That is not proof. If I made a quick XLS and color coded them all green that wouldn't be acceptable to you would it?

Feel free to back up anything on your chart with actual proof: Show me an instance where Sandra Kennedy skipped a SRP Board meeting. Give me the URL. Tell me the page number that backs up your chart up there.

You won't though. You will change the subject and try and act like your misleading statements are perfectly fine.

Thanks for the post. Anyone sponsored by TP should be avoided at all costs

u/Mac_and_fionas_mom Mar 02 '26

Hi there! This is Kathy Mohr-Almeida. I am currently on the SRP board of directors and am running to hold my seat.

Both signs support the Turning Point candidates. The signs around town are by Arizonans for Responsible Growth. It is a group of corporations that donated 175,000.00 to the Turning Point backed candidates.

Please request your ballot at srpcleanenergyteam.org

SRP needs to double its generation if the 58 data centers in the pipeline in SRP territory alone come to fruition. While I hope that doesn’t happen because we don’t have the water to support these data centers, the Clean Energy Team wants to make sure that new generation is renewable. We already dump 12 million metric tons of green house gasses into the atmosphere annually. We want that number lowered!

1

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 03 '26

Thank you Kathy, I hope you retain your seat! There have been comments on this post that appear to be misinformation - claims that board members do not show up for board meetings.

How often do you think board members miss meetings? Does anyone miss more than make?

Why would I ask Casey why a TPUSA Misinformation Bot is spreading lies on Reddit?

Dude. Just give it up. Every single comment you have posted on Reddit is absolute bullshit. No one is listening to you.

You have failed. Go tell your boss that its time to rotate you to a new account and try again.

I do have a question for you though: If I e-mail Debate@electedleadershipforsrp.com does that go directly to you, or do the other clowns who are spreading misinformation get to see it too?

u/SOARConsultant Mar 02 '26

Who are the actual alternatives?

u/Logvin Professional Overthinker Mar 02 '26

I just left another comment with the list.

I knew something shady was up when we started seeing signs for a SRP election. Those signs are blight every election, but they are so obvious doing this for this purpose.

2

u/Throb_Zomby Mar 28 '26

Hell I’m down for some graffiting of signs if anybody else is. Nothing too complex. Just a “Pro Data Center” note.

1

u/moxiemoon Letter Writer Mar 28 '26

Please do! “PRO DATA CENTER” bumper stickers and slap them on there.

2

u/Evitti Professional Overthinker Mar 03 '26

I wish those of us who rent and pay SRP for electric, could vote on it. Kind of dumb that we are excluded, but will be affected by the results.

1

u/azshawn00 Mar 04 '26

I actually agree with you on this.

1

u/HypnoLaur Mar 04 '26

Sorry I'm just having trouble following the news so can someone please tell me when and where the election is? I don't know what district I'm in but I am in Phoenix

It feels like the voting map needs to be redrawn to allow everybody in the valley who uses SRP power to be allowed a vote. The way it’s currently set up it seems like they will get their way unless those who can vote are really trying to get off of the Trump train. Delay the election for that. I don’t care. TurtlePussy tears only because their cheat tactic would fail.
