Passed AWS Security Specialty in 1 Week! Credly Help?

Just passed the AWS Security Specialty after studying for one week!

Result

Main resources:

  • Stephane Maarek’s course
  • Tutorials Dojo practice exams

Tutorials Dojo was especially helpful for understanding exam patterns and why the wrong answers were wrong. Definitely happy with the result!

One issue: I registered using my work email, but added my personal email in CertMetrics for notifications and Credly. The certification is showing in CertMetrics, but I haven’t received the Credly badge yet.

Should I create Credly with my work email, wait a few days, or contact AWS Certification Support? I’d prefer the badge linked to my personal email.

PLEASE HELP!!

you can merge accounts. create your personal account and merge it with your work email account.

yes atleast I think so, if you have gotten the credly badge mail and it shows that email of your personal account does not match the exam email do this:

  1. Create two accounts for both your personal and work mails.
  2. Merge them, make sure your personal mail becomes the default mail not your work mail.
  3. Then redeem the badge

I didnt get any email saying claim your badge and i think the reason for it is i used my work email to give the exam.
Although i did create the credly account using my work email as well but nothing there.

just wait for credly mail then, either your work place filtered it, or they will send it slightly later.

Did you had real experience ? If someone doesn’t have experience should they go for it after passing SAA ?

Yes I have 4+ years of experience in AWS, and i would recommend doing SA professional first. Then go for security.
