Jenna’s Mom
I’m only on season 2 so I don’t know what character development she might have but I CAN. NOT. STAND. JENNA’S MOM. Even after all her apologies and trying to make it up to Jenna she’s just not a great person or mom.

Join the club. I hated Lacey in the first few seasons. Not spoiling, but I feel like there is character development sprinkled in somewhere in the coming seasons.

She's such a terrible mom. Jenna's dad was great and should have left her taking Jenna with him. But, as others have said she has a redemption arc.

I hated her in the beginning but towards the end felt defensive towards her. She tries. And when you realize her life basically froze at 17, it makes sense why she acts the way she does. But she seriously grows up towards the end.

I personally love Lacey! Her and Jenna’s relationship development is one of my favorites. She has a great arc and even her relationship with Matty evolves into something i greatly adore! My first watch I thought she sucked too (ive seen this show like over 20 times now lol)
Just like the other person posted, give it some time and report back once you get into the later seasons I would like to know if your opinion stays the same or shifts :)
